  • Scanned found codes P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold. P2227 barometric pressure sensor "A" circuit range. P2700 transmission friction element "A" apply time As per the diagnostic test I cleaned the code and recheck the BARO sensor readings and found that at this time it is reading normally indicating an intermittent fault. Note the barometric pressure sensor is built in to the PCM and if code returns the PCM will need to be replaced and reprogrammed. Inspected for code P0420 and found that there is a TSB concerning this code. Will need to replace the catalytic converter and reflash the PCM. Inspected for code P2700 and found that there is no diagnostic information it just calls for replacing the dual clutch system. Will require the dealer to perform repairs due to special tools and programming updates for the PCM

  • Scanned found code P0205 fuel injector number 5 circuit/open Note there is no direct access to the fuel injectors as they are under the intake manifold . While moving the car into the shop I noticed that it was running very poorly. During the inspection and testing I found that the car started running normally. I found that fuel injector failure is very common for this engine. I recommend starting with labor to remove the upper intake manifold (will need a gasket) in order to test the resistance of the fuel injectors Note: I will likely be recommending all fuel injectors to be replaced.

  • Tested and found no power at the blower motor resistor, or the blower motor switch. Verified that the fuses and relays are good. It is suspected that there maybe an open wire in the system but further diagnostics are needed. When observing the heater fan switch with the scan tool there is no indication of switch position change when the switch is manually operated.
  • Inspected and found that there is good power out of the under hood fuse box but no power to the blower motor assembly also found that there is no power at the HVAC control module. I started tracing wires from the under hood fuse box and found that the bulk head connector under the drivers side of the dash was loose and not making good contact (likely from when radio was installed?) Secured all loose connections and now heater system is working as designed
