Inspected vehicle for installing at times, upon first test drive tech was unable to duplicate customer concern although did notice excessive growling noises coming from transaxle, return to shop and performed under hood inspection of tune-up parts and throttle body and all look like new, drained off small sample of transaxle fluid and is black and contaminated with metallic substance indicating internal transaxle problems, perform second test drive and was able to duplicate customer concern and what is happening is transmission is sticking in gear instead of downshifting to neutral at stops and causing engine to stall. Recommend replace transmission/transaxle assembly, replace transmission fluid cooler, and retest.
